Dog Obedience Training Videos To Help You Train Your Dog

Dog Obedience Training Videos for all breeds of dog.

Dog training is all about developing positive relationships where your dog has respect for you, its master.
If the owner takes the position of the leader of the pack and the dog recognises and honours that position then it will feel more secure and be a much well-behavedpet.

Under no contexts should the dog be afraid of it’s master and that is why most current methods of dog training focus on the positive aspects of the dogs actions and reinforce the dog for the good actions that it takes rather than penalising it for behaviours that are unacceptable.

A well trained dog that honors it’s master will always want to please, and that leads to a better-behaved dog both at home and when socializing with other dogs and people.

These modern positive training techniques are also great at retraining dogs that have consistently done something wrong, as they will rapidly learn that the wages for good actions are much more positive and pleasant than the potentially negative feedback they receive from their anti-social actions.

Even aged dogs can be educated quite well by using these methods, proving that a dog really is never too old to learn new tricks.

Rewarding Your Dog Is Important

Rewarding your dog is probably the single most important aspect of good training.
It is a well-known fact that reward training is the quickest way to get a dog to change their behavior and rewards in the form of positive reinforcement are the fastest way to get the desired results.
Also significantly, reward training makes the whole procedure more funfor the owner and the dog. Itturns the training into a bit of a game and helps to reduce any tedium and keep both the dog and the owner motivated.

It is also a great idea to finish each training session with a time for play so the dog connects the learning with fun times and looks forward about these sessions in the future.
Some people also like to have a little time before the training sessions for fun as well. This really depends on the personality of your dog as some pooches can get overly excited and this can make the training sessions harder to control.
Reprimand training is now an outdated dog training technique and has been proved to be less effective than the more recent positive action training techniques.
Dogs will rapidly become disheartened by this type of training and they can also get perplexed when they are unsure what they have been doing wrong.
It is far better to focus on more positive actions that are used to supercede those areas of the dog’s behavior that are causing problems.

There are certain conditions where the dog is aware of doing something wrong, but once they have been told of the violation, it is time to move on quickly and get back to the positive aspects of training.
