When it is time to take your dog from boring to bling, there is a good way to do it. Get them a fancy crystal collar. Pet collars don’t have to be plain and simple when you can get one that really punctuates the personality and beauty in your dog. Many of these collars not only have adornments like crystals, but many are made with fine leather, soft suede and fine ribbon materials. If you do decide to invest in a nicer collar, make sure to get a leash that matches as well. Many times the collar is very unique and a standard leash wouldn’t look right.

Choosing your dog’s food is an important decision. It’s the difference between a healthy, happy canine and an itchy, flatulent, miserable one. There’s a huge distinction between living on preservatives & dog food fillers and feeding your dog the best food available for their complete dietary needs.

Due to current pet food recalls, several of pet owners are left feeling alarmed and bewildered as to why this incident happened. Several dogs and cats were left sick and worse yet—several more died. Since the many of pet owners depend solely on commercial pet food to feed their pets, they are now cynical about which brand of food to buy and what type of food that they can eat without getting sick.

Who Can The Pet Owners Depend On?

Commercial pet foods have been tainted with harmful chemicals, including mycotoxins (toxins produced by fungi). According to the FDA and food manufacturers have authorized several recalls after a tainted food is found. In addition the FDA and the food company join together to find out the main cause of the problem and prevent it from happening again.

When Protecting Your Pet - Knowledge Is Power

When it comes to getting the healthiest dog food possible, all you really need to know what to look for and what to avoid. The following are a few ways to monitor the food you are giving your dog to ensure its safety:

• Make sure that you check the expiration date on all foods and treats before giving them to your dog. This will help you avoid any items that are scheduled to go bad.

• If the pet food or treat is not have an expired but appears to be stale or has a foul odor, do not feed it to your dog and contact the company/manufacturer.

• Always consult with your vet if your pet shows any symptoms of abnormal or unusual behavior. Early treatment will result in a greater chance of full recovery. It’s safe to say that some of the dogs and cats that die from tainted pet food may have survived had the owners’ brought them to the vet the first signs of sickness.

Lack of Nutrition can affect your dog’s health which can include their coat, teeth, ears, nails, breath, energy and brain. Unfortunately it can also affect how long they live and the quality of life they live. All too many times I have seen dogs that have eaten not so healthy food.Get complete information on home made dog food here Premium Dog Food.

We all love dogs. They are said to be the most faithful pets. Having a dog can be of great advantage. First, he is someone to whom you can always communicate. You won’t find a better listener than your dog. Secondly, a dog is someone with whom you can share all your feelings, whether they may be happiness, grief, sorrow, anxiety, etc. Also, dogs are the best playmates you can ever get. They can be your perfect buddy all the time.

Start your dog off right, give him or her what they deserve, put a smile on their face with the best Dog Supplies that is available at Doggy Dog Supplies. You will find Dog Clothes and Dog Beds that are the best designs and best looking on the internet.

But the question here arises, for how long will your buddy be with you on an average? Will he be with you forever? Are their any ways to increase the time you spend with him? How do you make full use of the little time you have with your best buddy?
Firstly, it is a general rule and an observation that smaller dogs tend to outlive their larger counterparts. Thus, smaller dogs live for more time as compared to larger breeds. Large medium to large breed dog tend to live about ten years, although there are exceptions to every rule. Smaller breeds tend to live longer, anywhere from twelve to fifteen years.

Secondly, it has been seen that a dog that has his own house i.e. a proper shelter tends to live more than one who roams about freely ion the road. Thus, street dogs live a comparatively shorter life as compared to pet dogs. While some can adjust, most dog bodies find the extremes the environment can dish out at them to be exhausting and threatening.

Thirdly, the general fitness of the dog greatly determines its longevity. A dog that gets proper exercise daily is likely to have a greater life span as compared to the dog that doesn’t. If your dog comes from a family or breed history of hip and back problems such as hip dysplasia, excessive exercise in the first two years can put added stress on the joints in question and actually lead way to problems in the future.

Fourthly and lastly, regular visits to the veterinary doctor are very essential in order to have a check on the health of your dog. A vet will tell you exactly how to take proper care of your dog and what precautions should be taken by you to maintain good health of your dog.

People love their dogs and like to get them nice things already. There are plenty of great pet accessories that you can get for your dog. The nice part is that many of these things are not too expensive. Every dog needs toys to play with. There are also some nice gifts that you can get for yourself that are dog related like shirts and cups. Perhaps it is time to get a nicer treat jar to store your dogs treats in. Whatever the case, you can always find ways to add some fun into your relationship with your dog.
