Even if you love your pet and can’t be separated from it, there are a lot of options for places to stay when you go on vacation. As increasing numbers of people choose to travel with pets, more hotels are beginning to allow pets. These hotels make it much more possible to travel with your beloved animals
When you are planning a trip, there are a wide variety of resources on the internet to help you find pet friendly hotels for your trip. Any internet search will produce a number of websites that you can use to find a good pet-friendly hotel. You will just need to enter your destination and your search will bring up a list of possibilities. It makes sense to call and make sure that pets are still allowed before you book a room.?
Once you find pet friendly motels that appeal to you, you should check to see what types of restrictions and fees are involved. Some hotels only allow certain types of pets to stay, or have size limits so that only small pets can stay. Many will charge an extra fee or require an extra deposit to allow your pet to stay with them, so be sure to look into this in advance. Many of the websites that list pet-friendly hotels will also list their extra fees and restrictions, but not all of them will always include it. When you book your room be sure to tell the staff that you will have your pet with you so that they are prepared.
Once you arrive at pet friendly hotels, don’t forget to take your pet out often for bathroom breaks to minimize the need for dog insurance. Also, if you leave your pet alone in the room, make sure to keep it in it’s travel cage and leave the “Do not disturb” sign on the outside of your door. You wouldn’t want your pet to have any accidents in the hotel room; nor do you want anyone to accidentally open the door and have your pet run out and get lost. If your pet won’t be happy alone, be considerate to the other guests and take it with you as much as possible so that it won’t make a lot of noise and disturb the other guests. Following the rules of the hotel regarding pets will help to ensure that the hotel stays pet friendly.
