Pug Training: Making It Easy

There are literally hundreds of different breeds of dog that a person can choose to have as a pet, but the Pug can easily be considered as one of the most popular. This really comes as no surprise, considering how friendly, loving and adorable these dogs are. Pug training is very important however, and because Pugs are rather stubborn dogs this is often difficult to do. There are a few other Pug problems that you should be aware of as well.

Successful training with a Pug depends a lot on how much the dog desires for his master’s approval. Obviously the closer the owner is with the dog and the better they treat him, the more the dog is going to strive to do well. There are certain techniques that can be used to help with Pug training, and one of the most important tips here is to praise the puppy whenever they do something right. It is important that the owner not pretend to praise however, and instead praise them with all their heart.

Being upbeat and excited to encourage the puppy will not only help them to pay attention more but also will make the training fun and exciting for both parties. Pugs will do anything for food and so owners should remember that if there is a certain command or trick that the dog is not responding to, the best idea will be to implement a treat or toy into the mix and see if any better results come from this.
