home or may be|Do you have a dog at home or[/spin] are you planning to get a new pet? One of the most in keeping a lovable dog is to train the pet correctly. dog to spoil your carpets or bite the guests who visit to see you. So it is absolutely necessary that you train your pet correctly.
Before you buy a dog or puppy, you should know that it is always better to start at the earliest. Ideally start puppy training when your dog is approximately four to seven weeks of age. Though it is never too late to teach a pet, beginning the training early will surely make things lot easier. Alright time to know what is the best way to train a puppy? There are many ways and methods anyone can use to train their puppies. However most of the successful dog trainer will agree that reinforcing positive behavior is the best method to go.

Avoid Punishments, Give Reward
Let me explain this further. Much like our children, dogs also respond better to rewards and treat than punishments. Every time the dog obey your directions correctly, give him small rewards. Remember you can speak to kids in a language they can understand. Yet, our children disobey our orders. However when a puppy disobeys your commands it is mostly because the dog didn’t get what exactly you want him to do. That means, you have to train your dog properly.
It is often found that people hit the dogs nose with magazines or newspaper whenever the dog does something wrong. This is completely wrong. In fact this could end up in negative results. Your dog might have accidentally run into trouble and if you punish him for something which is not his mistake, then the dog will not be motivated to follow your commands. Another common mistake found in the dog owners is that, they shout at the dog. This will confuse your puppy. Are you screaming because you are happy or are you yelling because you are angry? Be firm in your tone, but do not shout. I am sure everyone who dealt with kids knows how to be firm in their commands yet friendly. This holds true for puppy potty training as well.

Stop Barking..
Dog owners often found that their dog is unnecessarily barking. Before you run to your favorite pet shop to buy a barking collar, please understand that a dog can bark due to various reasons. Your dog may bark if he is hungry, thirsty or excessively hot or cold. Dogs are like us and they need food and water. During extreme weather[s/pin] [spin]you might want them to stay indoor. I am going to tell you about the mastiff dog breed and what I feed Charlie . As you can imagine Charlie is my mastiff. He is an English Mastiff. There are quite a few breeds out there which have their own characteristicsbut I stopped at Charlie. He is of the dark fawn-brindle ( dark browns all mixed together ) persuasion and of average size and weight(32 inches tall and nearing 190 lbs).

English Mastiff Food

, let me tell you all that I have heard success stories will all different types of diets for mastiffs from Iams to Purina but this is what I feed mine and it has done Charlie wonders. I got this recipe from a friend of the family that had an English Mastiff for as long as I have known him and his have always seemed full of energy an enthusiastic. Well full of energy for a mastiff that is.

I started feeding Charlie puppy kibble and it seemed to be doing just fine but once he became a teen he started looking like he needed a little more. I tried just feeding him more kibble at the beginning but he still seemed skinny and a little plum tuckered . That’s when I started feeding him what he eats now and it has worked.

Italian Mastiffs

I main ingredients are ground turkey, brown rice and raw veggies. Mainly carrots broccoli and cauliflower. I cook a half pound of ground turkey till tis done and add about half a cup of cooked brown rice. I chop up about a cups worth of vegetables until they are small enough to where I wouldn’t need to cut them if I ate them. I mix them all together and serve it to him after it cools. I also place his bowl on a stool so he doesn’t have to bend over to eat. He eats everything to the last drop .

I do this two times a day once for breakfast and once for dinner. I have made multiple days worth meals and saved them in the fridge and that seems to work just fine too. One thing i have never done is made tons and frozen it and fed it to him over a week or two but I can only assume that would work too and maybe even be cheaper seeing as how you could do it in bulk.

Mastiff Training

I was very surprised. You could see Charlie changing and within a month or so he had a brighter coat and more energy. He even started putting on some lean muscle weight. Charlie is now a very enthusiastic English Mastiff he has energy I have a friend that has an American Bandogge Mastiff and he loves this diet too so I can only imagine that every type of the mastiff dog breed would too. I love this breed and i love my good ole dog so I hope you try this diet for a while and see of it makes your dog as enthusiastic and healthy as mine.

The first things that hit me about keeping dogs was the sheer terror when something goes wrong not to mention the enormous cost. Though you hope your dog understands your every word there’s not a lot of help that we can provide in times of illness other than reassurance.

Both my dogs, as I think most dogs have, suffered from awful dog yeast infections of the ear. It cost the dogs a lot of pain and discomfort and it cost me a lot of time and money. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to spend whatever is necessary for my dogs but when you see the terror in their faces when they go to the vets, it’s real easy to to start questioning it!

Ear Infection Dog

I decided to look for natural and holistic cures after one of my dogs got quite ill through the antibiotics prescribed to him. To cut a long story short I did a lot of research, befriended a vet and asked him what he thought about the mass of information I’d found. Well to say my eyes were opened was an understatement. The very dog yeast ear drops I was sold by my vet could be made in my kitchen and there were a whole bunch of home remedies he recommended that are natural and far better than antibiotics – not to mention far ZERO in the last two years. That’s 0 times in the last two years that I’ve had to take my dogs to the vets for anything to do with their ears. My findings also show you what to do when they DON’T have a yeast infection to prevent it coming on at all.

What I’ve discovered isn’t just one method I’ve found for dog yeast infections either. I have spent a lot of time researching and interviewing Vets to reveal all kinds of new discoveries.

Thankfully for all this time neither of my pets has had a dog yeast infection and it has spared them many trips to the dreaded vets. Your dog may not mind a trip to the vets, I see them in the waiting room, the calm ones. But when they don’t like it…Life gets pretty tough, especially with two of them!

Vet Recommended

That aside you can imagine the stress the the entire thing must cause for the dog. In pain, bundled into the car, driven to the dog equivalent of hell! And for what? To get back in that car again! My two really do suffer in the car, badly. The fact that I’ve eliminated (so far) any dog yeast infections, has saved them a lot of anxiety and a lot of stress. It’s done the same for me to!

A major cause of blood in dog stool is Melena, which along with hematochezia is the main reason why your dog will show blood in his stool. Melena itself is the blood digested by dogs and it is of a dark color while hematochezia is like fresh blood found in a dog’s stool and is not as serious an issue as Melena. Even though the reasons for blood in a dog’s stool are numerous, they can be identified after testing carried out by a veterinarian.

The main effect of blood in the stool is that your pet will generally show signs of having low energy and can often also suffer from incontinence. Accidents can happen as the dog is not capable of going outside fast enough. To prevent this condition, you may have to restrict how much food the dog is allowed to consume which will have the effect of stopping his diarrhea and eventually also allows the intestines to heal. However, when the problem is due to infections or even because of bacterial parasites, the condition will continue till treated with medications or other medical means.

Dog blood in stool is a condition that can affect any dog no matter what its size or breed and can occur even despite your best endeavors to prevent it. Common causes for the condition can include medications and infections as well as cancer and presence of foreign objects in the intestines of the dog, and even metabolic disorders or hemorrhaging gastro enteritis are other causes for blood in stool. In addition, you need to be extra careful should blood in stool also show other signs such as paleness of gums, frequent bouts of urination, excessive thirst, poor appetite or weight loss.

As a first line of defense, you can try giving your dog a bland diet that consists of rice as well as potatoes and substitute these foods for its regular food. However, if this does not work, then you have to take your pet to a vet who can then identify why blood in stool is occurring and then suggest suitable treatment methods.

Some of the tests that may need to be carried out for blood in stool include urinalysis, biochemical work up as well as blood work up and diagnosing sample stool as well as conducting ultrasound and even having the dog’s chest and abdomen X-rayed.

Hopefully, blood in stool condition may turn out to be less than severe and if that is the case, you can simply tend to him at home by giving him a special diet, though in more serious circumstances, you may have to give him medication in order to stop stomach acids and to also coat his intestines. And if even this does not stop dog health blood in stool, you need to have the vet make more investigations to pinpoint the exact causes and suggest suitable treatments.

After a recent visit to the stunning regency town of Cheltenham in the heart of the Cotswolds, it becomes clear to see why this town is (or most of it) included within a conservation area of national importance.

When you arrive at Cheltenham Spa railway station, you are about a twenty minute walk from the centre of town, although there is a bus service into town, I decided that with all my luggage, that to hire a Taxi Cheltenham was a better idea, as that would take me directly to the new Express Holiday Inn. As it turned out, this hotel is the other side of the town centre from the railway, so I was happy that I did not attempt to walk it, even though most of the buildings on route deserved much more of my attention than they got, briskly passing them by in one of the finest Taxis In Cheltenham. The decision had already been made that I would have to have a good long slow walk around regency Cheltenham to take in some of the finest buildings that this fair town has to offer.

After booking in at the hotel it was time to go exploring the towns finest buildings, but this would be after a brisk visit to one of the towns newest developments, an old brewery that has been redeveloped into a leisure and retail area, that, enough be it on that subject!

I love the regency building style the Spa town of Cheltenham has to offer, it’s simply unique in it’s own right, unfortunately though, business called my stay short, so I had to jump into a Cheltenham Airport Taxi and dash to Birmingham Airport in time for a 21.00 hrs flight to Aberdeen.

Luckily for me, I had already booked a full week off work in the near future to attend The Cheltenham Literature Festival in early October, so I will be able to return then and have a full and undisturbed week to take in all that this delightful Cotswold town has to offer.

One place I also want to visit on my next trip is The Pittville Pump Rooms. Not very exiting you may think, but you would be wrong! Going back to about 1715, this is when Cheltenham’s Spa water was first discovered on the site as well as at Cheltenham Ladies Collage. In 1788 it is reported that Queen Charlotte visited and bathed in the waters along with George III. Jumping forward to 1825, this is when the first foundation stone was laid of what is now known, and quite famously as the present Pittville Pump Rooms. Anyway, seems I am going off beat again, Cheltenham I will return in October
