I really enjoy watching the television series called Stargate with my son. Its basic idea is that aliens seeded the earth thousands of years ago and use humans as hosts for themselves to live in. While controlling their mind they are a highly advanced alien race that resembles a snake and inhabits the bodies of humanoids. A friendly alien is removed from its host in one episode and is dying. They try to replicate its surroundings inside of a human but it still continues to die. One of the doctors is reminded that a human being has a small electrical current going through the body continuously, just as it seems that all hope is lost; kind of like a built in perpetual microcurrent therapy. So the doctors introduced a small electrical current to the alien’s artificial environment and it came miraculously back to life. Dog Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation

Electrotherapy, or, microcurrent therapy has been used for at least two thousand years. In fact, a Roman Doctor named Scribonius Largus in 46 AD recommended to his patients that they should stand on top of a live torpedo fish to help cure such things as gout and headaches. Torpedo fish can give off a powerful electric shock to stun their prey. In the second century a physician named Claudius Galen also recommended the electric fish as an appropriate medical therapy.

All over the world low intensity CES has been used for centuries to fight every thing from depression to anxiety; back aches and spinal injuries, headaches and many other disorders. So with so much history and research and success with microcurrent therapy is there any reason why our pets shouldn’t benefit from this science?

When I was researching a problem I was having with my cat I came across a website. Using CES on household pets and horses a lady named Ava Frick is seeing enormous results. She is witnessing anxiety, pain, depression, and countless other problems plaguing the animals we adore and love fade away by properly using and implementing the tools of microcurrent therapy. In the areas of animal and pet pain, depression and anxiety she’s an impressive expert.

I know that some of you may be thinking of that device that my mother-in-law purchased in order to stop her dog from barking. It went around the animal’s neck like a collar and whenever the dog barked the collar would emit an enormous electric shock to stun the poor dog into associating barking with severe pain. That is not what I’m talking about when writing about microcurrent therapy. That point has to be made crystal clear. That kind of electric shock therapy is torturous and really should be outlawed in my opinion. Microcurrent therapy is designed to relieve pain and suffering and provide happiness and joy to your beloved animals. Don’t let yourself be fooled by the similarities. They really have little in common. To ensure your animal is in the best environment to enable healing and relief Ava Frick uses state of the art technology in a highly controlled environment. Some of the best reared and superbly cared pets also fall a prey to the condition called as the heartworm disease, which sometimes affects even the most robust dogs. Hence, it becomes all the more necessary to safeguard your pet from attracting this fatal disease and this can be achieved by giving your pet the Heartgard plus.

Heartgard Plus for dogs

These pills are very popular and it is one of the most well known brands of heartworm tablets with most of the vets recommending these tablets for dogs, as they really guard the dogs from diseases.

Many of the oral medicines which are given to pet dogs are either mixed with the dog food or are given to the pet in the form of a tonic, but Heartgard plus is available in a form which is relished by the dogs and the dogs love eating it. Most of the dogs love Heartgard plus medicine tabs since they include beef pieces, excepting for those few canines who are affected when eating beef.

If your dog cannot handle beef adequately, then there are ordinary tablets available.

You could free your pet from these ghastly parasites by giving heartgard plus chewable tablets which include Ivermectin and that safeguards many of the domestic farm animals from these parasites working particularly well for dogs since they positively respond to these tablets.

However, the amount of Ivermectin present in the medicine is minimal, which means that it will only eliminate heartworm larvae. The heartgard plus tablets does not actually put a stop to the larval heartworms, but it prevents infection from spreading and also prevents them from multiplying further, thereby reducing further health problems.

The working method of the tablets is pretty simple meaning, it does not stop your canine from attracting the heartworms, but actually eliminates all the existing larvae which has got mixed in your pet’s bloodstream.

Tablets are given every 30 days, because the drug works to prevent larvae from living or growing, thus it is critical that the treatment be administered every month. .

Heartgard plus medicines is the preferred choice as compared to Ivermectin heartworm pills since the Ivermectin tablets is not as potent leading to the larvae multiplying.

Pyrantel - Heartgard plus chewable also have pyrantel, which is also another parasite controller.

However, pyrantel specifically targets roundworms and hookworms, and eliminates the need for your typical de-worming regime. These medicines are ideal to wipe out both the intestinal worms as well as heartworms together.

The disease does not affect the ticks but affects other mammals like dogs due to the toxin secreted by the ticks. What happens, is that a tick bite can produce a flaccid paralysis, which leaves your dog with no muscular tone, feeling weak.

Not all dogs and mammals suffer from this kind of a paralysis on being bitten by ticks as only some of them bear the brunt, while some others only experience weakness in their hind legs. Due to the variation in the kind of effect the toxin produces, certain mammals will suffer from total paralysis and may even die due to difficulty in breathing.

By knowing about the different kind of paralysis that is caused by the ticks in different mammals, you can prevent things from becoming worse by quickly taking out the ticks and casting them away.

Read on to discover how you can easily prevent a deadly situation for your pooch…

Symptoms of Tick Paralysis

It is not as if your dog will be immediately affected with just one bite of the tick as it takes a period of a week and several bites from the ticks to cause any paralysis. When you notice your pet becoming weak and having problems moving his hind limbs, you can be sure that he has been bitten by ticks.

Your pet dog may also show difficulty in breathing, chewing or even swallowing, though he may not have any fever or other symptoms. Since death can occur within hours from respiratory failure, because of the muscle paralysis caused, it is absolutely critical that you check for these signs.

Diagnosis

Most often, paralysis is diagnosed based on the symptoms, and also if your dog has a rapidly worsening condition. It also can depend on the seasons of the year, but rapid recovery occurs the instance that the ticks are removed.

Of course, easy diagnosis also comes from the signs of paralysis, but you should regularly check your dog for ticks, if his/her behavior becomes strange, especially if you are often in regions which have ticks.

Treatments

The most practical way is to remove all the ticks.

Picking up all the ticks on the pet’s body may be fraught with difficulty especially if your pet is very hairy and in that case you may need to shave your pet to ensure all ticks are effectively removed.

Though most dogs make a quick recovery once the ticks are eliminated, some of them may have to be treated by the veterinarian if the condition is more serious.

The injection of an antitoxin is another remedy for quick recovery.

Is your dog or cat immune to the threat of the Paralysis Tick ? Unfortunately, if you live in a paralysis tick area, the answer is probably no. Dogs and cats can be a perfect host for paralysis ticks. Paralysis ticks can attach to your pet, often when wandering through bushy areas, thick grass or vegetation.

How bad for your pets are paralysis ticks?
In one word - very. Once they’ve found their way onto an animal’s fur, paralysis ticks can quickly reach the skin and attach themselves. When they’ve latched on, they suck blood and also secrete a nasty toxin. If the tick is left undetected on your pet, its toxin can be very dangerous – even fatal.

Some of the symptoms related to the tick toxin include:
• Loss of coordination in the hind legs
• A change in the voice or bark, or coughing
• Loss of appetite, vomiting, retching and regurgitation
• Noisy grunting and breathing
• Excessive drooling
• Anxiety, hypersensitivity and distress
• Progressive paralysis

You may also be able to see red and raised skin around where the tick has attached itself or a ‘tick crater’ may appear.

How long does it take for tick symptoms to appear?
In many cases signs of a paralysis tick won’t appear until the tick has been attached on your pet for several days. Not all of the above-listed symptoms may be noticeable, and some of them are often confused with other pet illnesses. Unfortunately, this means some owners put off taking their pet to the veterinary clinic.

What can I do if my pet has a tick?
The first thing is to remove the tick and contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. The veterinarian will assess your pet and then treat for tick toxicity if required.

Symptoms can take a while to show and unfortunately delay in removing the tick or treating the toxicity can result in your pet’s death. As always, prevention is better than cure. If you find a tick on your pet, don’t forget to continue searching for more.

How can I help protect my pet from paralysis ticks?

1. Avoid the tick habitat. Ask your veterinarian for advice if you are living in or planning to travel to a paralysis tick area. Paralysis ticks are generally found on the eastern seaboard of Australia, but can be found in slightly different areas and at different times every year.

2. Thoroughly check your pet’s skin and coat every day during the paralysis tick season - even if you’re using a tick control product. Feel and look for unusual lumps, and if you find a tick, remove it straight away and call your veterinarian.

3. Use a tick control product. If you have a dog use Frontline PLUS® every 2 weeks. For cats, use FRONTLINE® SPRAY every 3 weeks. Always remember to read the label instructions. To remind you when a treatment is due, you can sign up for free email and SMS reminders at www.frontlineplus.com.au.

Horse joint pain is something that has never crossed my mind. I have a horse Semper and never really thought about him getting sick or experiencing pain. When my beautiful pet Semper seemed to be aching, I had no clue where to begin. Fortunately I came across the Animal Fitness Center website of Dr. Ava Frick. I learned that animals, even horses, can be susceptible to diseases and illnesses that are also experienced by humans. If I did not take my equine to Dr. Ava Frick so soon he might of had horse paralysis and I would have never forgiven myself.Animal Chiropractic

What Dr. Ava Frick explained to me was that horse joint pain is common to equines that are at least 15 years of age. Just like us, their tendons can wear down and ache in cold weather. I have had Semper since I was 14 and am realizing that he is growing old too and experiencing horse arthritis and stiffness and swelling. I had not noticed that he was in so much pain and had been suffering for quite some time already. I ride him every day around our farm and was even putting him through hours of practice.

Horse joint pain can easily be alleviated by medications and drugs. However, I know for a fact that pain medication can also be harmful to the internal organs of horses. I really wanted to make sure Semper’s care was as natural and holistic as possible. Good thing Dr. Ava Frick uses holistic treatments instead of common medicines. The main thing I liked about the Animal Fitness Center is their alternative treatment to relieving pain and discomfort in all animals. They are not only concerned about eradicating pain using gadgets and devices, but they are also concerned of the proper nutrition needed to hasten the recuperation of the problems and diseases of the animals in their clinic. Besides, I was very happy to see that Semper was given genuine care and affection while he stayed at the Animal Fitness Center.

One thing about the Horse Pain Relief care that Dr. Ava Frick gave to Semper is that it was custom just for him. Treating an animal’s condition in this matter targets the actual problem and doesn’t just mask the symptoms. Although medications can ease the horse joint pain felt by Semper, these will not really target to root cause of the problem, they will simply manage the symptoms. Semper received massage therapy and PST, which is Pulsed Signal Therapy, and is a non invasive type of pain management that helps with the function of the problem areas. In just a couple of weeks under the supervision of Animal Fitness Center, my Semper started to show a marked improvement.Equine Arthritis

Sometimes, not matter how hard you try, seeing your pet experiencing Canine Depression is to hard for any pet lover. I was overcome with depression last year when my beautiful Chihuahua died. What my friends did to alleviate the sadness that I was feeling was buy me a new Chihuahua. When I saw my new Chihuahua I really did feel a little better from losing Fritzy. At least I had a new friend to care for and love. I had Fritzy for so long that I didn’t really know how to deal with this new pet. Although I tried my best to make Dolly feel at home, she was really impossible. The happiness I felt when I saw Dolly was quickly overcome with stress. No matter what I did for her she had mass mood swings from being overly aggressive to becoming lethargic on a regular basis. Even after I potty trained her she still kept going in her kennel and in my house.Animal Pain Relief

It is a good thing that I stumbled upon Midwest Microcurrent in a forum that talks about Canine Depression. I found out Dolly was experiencing animal depression and anxiety according to Dr. Ava Frick. I know that not being active can cause depression because I saw it in the end of Fritzy’s life, but I did not know that other signs consisted of things Dolly was showing, like aggression, fear and going in the house. Who would have guessed that my pampered pooch was still down and depressed.

I like Dr. Ava Frick’s holistic alternatives to dealing with pet anxiety or animal depression. I was afraid that she would recommend drugs or other medications to calm down the nerves of my beloved new pet. Instead of prescribing any medication, Dr. Ava Frick offered a program that used an Alpha-Stim Stress Control System that is safe for dogs. I kid you not but n less than one hour Dolly was less aggressive. She looked so calm and happy.

I was informed that one treatment would not cure Dolly of her pet anxiety. Work got in the way of Dolly’s needed treatments but I was relieved to find out I could bring Midwest Microcurrent’s Alpha-Stim SCS treatment home. This device is fairly easy to use so I did not really have any problems when using it to help ease Dolly’s depression. Dolly’s depression and misbehavior seemed to clear up in just a few weeks of treatment. Her skin has cleared up and she love attention from anyone and other animals.Horse Insomnia

Pet owners occasionally find it hard in todays market to select a brand of food that works for your pet. The types of food are numerous and the labels are not only confusing, but they can be misleading. If you understand the pet food labels you can buy the food that is best for your dog or cat .

Pet food labels have an information panel and a main display panel. The main display panel contains the brand name and product manufacturer. The Association of American Feed Control Officials governs a products name and what ingredients it contains.

Knowing what the labels mean is important in providing the best food for your pet. If the product name includes things such as ‘beef platter’, ‘beef entree’, ‘beef dinner’, etc. it only has to contain 10% beef. However, if it is worded as ‘beef’, it must contain 70% beef. Along the same lines, if it is worded ‘with beef’, it need only contain 3% beef and believe it or not the words beef flavor means the product must only contain less than 1% of beef!

Do not just rely on the name of a pet food because that can mislead you. Always check the food container for a clearance statement from the AAFCO stating the food has passed their standards.

The second part of the label is the information panel, which has to contain an ingredient statement and an analysis of guarantee. This analysis contains percentages of crude fat, protein, fiber and moisture in the food. While the percentages are listed, this still does not tell you the quality of the crude fats, proteins, etc. The ingredients should also be listed in descending order by weight.

Pets are very sensitive to changes made to their food. Before making a change, pay attention to their coat, eye clarity and how they are acting. If all is well, you may be better off sticking with what you are currently using. Any pet nutritional information or concerns can be answered by a qualified veterinarian based on your specific pets needs.

Also when considering a new pet food take the time to consider what you will put the food in. elevated dog bowls are a smart choice, especially for taller dogs. There are several dog bowls and cat bowls to choose from, it is up to you to pick the proper feeder for your pet but keep in mind to stay away from plastic containers. They tend to keep the germs around to make for a hazardous eating situation for your pet. Many pet owners opt for having two sets of pet feeding bowls to make sure that one set is always clean. It is so tempting to just keep reusing the same bowl without washing but do not fall into this trap, your pet’s health may depend on it. Look into pet supplies online for a wide selection and free shipping.

How do you go about picking your dog food? Do you understand how to read the labels and do you know what each ingredient really is?

While doing research on possible cause for dog seizures I started to investigate dog food ingredients.. What I found out was both amazing and scary, so I immediately started a crusade to educate pet owners around the world.

You can be at ease, I’m not going to try and sell you some high priced cure all healthy dog food. What I will do is show you how to pick the correct dog food based on knowing what the ingredients really are.

If you take simple steps and learn to feed your dogs healthy food, you can add around 8 years to their lives Just think, that means eight more years of tongue kissing, tail wagging unconditional love

It took me many hours of research, but I did find a book that explained how to decode the secret language used on dog food labels. Believe it or not even thought the FDA regulates dog food labeling, it does not hold commercial dog food labeling to the same requirements as it does for people food.

The weak dog food labeling regulations are a joke and the industry uses this weakness to hide ingredients that are harmful to our dogs but are added to enhance the tase to make our dogs want to eat it.. The pet food industry is allowed to twist with meaning of words and this makes it nest ti impossible for the pet owner to understand what is really in their pets food..

The difference between a dog food named Beef Dog Food and Beef Flavored Dog Food is that the first would contain around 70% beef (of some kind) and the second could contain 0% beef of any kind.

If your dog food says with beef or beef nuggets or even beef dinner that means your food only contains 3% beef.

The truth is the dog food industry has been allowed to deceive the pet owner into thinking they are purchasing quality ingredients, when the truth is we are purchasing ingredients not fit for human consumption.

The animal food industry is using the waste leftovers from human food production processing plants. This slop is deemed unfit for human consumption, but is sold as ingredients for pet foods.

The dog food labeling regulations our written so poorly that they allow the industry to make toxic ingredients sound like they are healthy. If your dog food has an ingredient listed as “Dried Egg Products” you might think that is healthy. After all eggs are a good source of protein, but dried egg products are the leftovers from the egg industry that are deemed not fit for human consumption.

The problem is there are hundreds of ingredients listed on dog food labels that seem to mean one thing when in reality they mean something completely different.

Because of my finding during my many hours of research I now feed my dog’s homemade dog food, but I know this is not particle for everyone. If you are one that can’t switch to a homemade food, then it becomes even more important to learn how to correctly read a dog food label. To get a detailed understanding of what the listed ingredients in your dog food really are I have included a link below to a website I found while doing my research..

Do you and your loved on a favor and learn what is in your dog food, be prepared for the next dog food recall by clicking here.

The poor nutrition found in our pet’s diets today is the cause of 90% of their health problems. That is why I stared to do research on dog food, when my Beagle started to have seizures, and that is why he is now on a homemade dog food diet.

Have you ever noticed how many pets are now dying from diseases that we humans have been fighting for ages?. Even small town Vets are reporting a large increase of business

After my research I feel the quality of commercial pet foods is playing a major roll in the increase of pet diseases

Your loved ones are just a dollar sign to the pet food industry and we can’t depend on them to have their health or wellbeing as a priority over profits. Therefore we have no choice but to take things into our own hands or in this case our kitchens. That is why I started to research the best way to transition my dog from commercial toxic waste to a homemade dog food diet

When making this transition the most important thing to know is your homemade dog food diet must be formulated to be nutritionally balanced. The long hours of research that I have done has produced some great resources that I will share with you that make this easy.

The truth is, and I’m going to be blunt! You have two choices, you can continue to slowly poison your dog, or you can take control of what he is eating and switch him to a homemade dog food diet.

Do you see how important this decision is? It’s as simple as this, do you want your dog to die early or would you like him to live to see twenty?

That’s right my research shows that the life expectancy of a dog is closer to 20 then it is 10 like we were programmed to believe. Understand this if we continue to feed our dogs the toxic waste being sold as pet food our dogs will continue to die before they should It’s been proven that a homemade dog food diet gives our dogs the best chance to live to see 20.

You will have complete control over the ingredients and where they come from when I prepare my dog a homemade dog food diet, Our kitchens are 100 times cleaner than any pet food manufacturing plant and there is much less chance of contamination

I must warn you again that this needs to be done right. It wouldn’t be wise to use processed food to make our homemade dog food, when we know that they are the cause of some human diseases

We can all do this because all the hard work has been done for us and all we need to do is follow the instructions.. The thought of my dogs living 8 years longer just by changing to a homemade dog food diet has me very excited.

There is nothing like the feeling you get when you can stop worrying about the food your feeding your dog showing up on a dog food recall list. Join me and learn how to feed your dog, food that will never be on a dog food recall list by clicking here now.

Dogs are meant to be the most faithful animal on this universe. They are3 treated as the best buddies. So their care and health is our responsibility. Dog vaccination is one of the ways.

Dogs have a natural immunity system also which they get from their mothers in milk, but it is not enough for them. As soon as they get older they loose their immunity so they need to be vaccinated.

TYPES OF VACCINATIONS:

1.Distemper is usually the first vaccination given to your puppy. Distemper is a virus that can cause respiratory distress and seizures which can lead to death. You pup will need to get a distemper shot through out the different stages in his life. Sometimes some of the symptoms are loss of appetite, a discharge from the eyes and nose, lethargy, and fever.

2.Kennel Cough is another vaccination that your puppy will need. It affects the bronchi and trachea of dogs and makes them have a loud dry cough. This is not a fatal disease but it is very contagious. This can be considered an optional vaccination. If you live in an area which has a high rate of Kennel Cough you will definitely want to get this vaccination to protect your pup. Consult with your veterinarian they will be able to tell you if the rate in your area is high.

3.The vaccination for Leptospirosis if given through out your dogs life and is usually given in combination with other vaccines. This is not a very common disease and larger dogs seem to be more susceptible to this disease. This disease affects the liver and kidneys of dogs.

4.The Parvovirus vaccination is recommended for most all dogs. This is a very serious disease and can cause serious vomiting, dehydration and bloody diarrhea. This virus affects the white blood cells in dogs and can harm their immune system. It has been found that some breeds of dogs are more susceptible to Parvovirus than others. Doberman Pinscher’s and Rottweilers are two of the most common breeds that seem to be affected by this disease.

5.RABBIES DOGS VACCINATION: it helps in stimulating the immune system. If your dog has been affected by this then he is cured by this vaccination and the antibiotics are filled inside him to help him fight against this disease.

There have been many debates on the topic that whether dogs should be vaccinated or not? The only answer to this question is consulting a vet. No other person in this world can give you the perfect knowledge of this. You need to be sure on this point after all it is about your best buddy. Moreover, if you want your’s pet health in sound then check out some of the information related to health like pregnancy in dogs and those who dont have any lovable pet, you can have it here from this site http://indianpetdogs.com/

Consult your vet and let him tell you that which type of vaccination does your dog require? Or whether he requires it or not? He will definitely give you the perfect advice.
